Cay Bay / Indigo Bay

Beach
Check out the pretty cove with white sand between Philipsburg and Simpson Bay. It is definitely worth the detour in the south side of the Dutch side. Cay Bay is more commonly known as Indigo Bay following the development of a building of the same name that pays homage to its intense colors.

This lovely little gem is off the beaten track and will make for a wonderful day away from the crowds, facing the Caribbean Sea. Indigo Bay is postcard-perfect, with sumptuous colors and a fine sand beach that are a real treat for the feet. In the hills of Indigo Bay, the residences and sumptuous villas offer a breathtaking view of the islands of Saba, St. Eustatius and St. Kitts. On the beach, a few coconut trees enhance the decor while the crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming. Grab your snorkel and flippers to explore the pretty seabed. Be careful with the rocky parts when going in and out of the water. There's a restaurant overlooking the beach with a few deckchairs where you can enjoy a meal with a view over the bay. The beach is located at the crossroads of trails and is sometimes crossed by hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers.
