Simpson Bay
With its mile of fine sand stretching along the runway of the Princess Juliana Airport, Simpson Bay is one of the longest beaches on the island of St. Martin. You can enjoy long walks along the shore, where a small strip of sand remains along villas and residences. It is sometimes covered by the sea, which laps the walls of properties. There are lots of lively bars and restaurants on the largest part of the beach. You can also relax on a beach chair as you sip on a cocktail before settling in to dine facing the intensely blue landscape. You can also rent a jet ski, kayak or paddleboard on the beach if you’d like to explore the bay’s calm blue waters. To the west, before you reach the rocky coast of Pointe Burgeaux, there's a narrow staircase that will take you to the residential neighborhood; local residents use it to access the beach. Sunsets are beautiful here.
