Steel Pan Concert
July, 11

The steel drum, or tambour d'acier in French, also commonly called pan or steelpan, is a percussion instrument originally from Trinidad and Tobago.

Year after year, the famous Gunslingers Steelband orchestra from Grand Case continues to preserve St. Martin’s steelpan culture by organizing a big concert. During the annual “Pan Revolution,” the Gunslingers Steelband is typically surrounded by musicians that come to share the stage.

Junior players start off the evening with a beautiful introduction of the musical style, after which the more senior players play their repertoire.
