Located in the northeastern part of the island of St. Martin, the village of Orient Bay is a real “must-do” of the Caribbean. Nicknamed the “Saint-Tropez of the Caribbean”, the beach of Orient Bay is one of the largest on the island and also one of the busiest. In Orient Bay, the Atlantic Ocean expresses its true nature with trade winds stronger than anywhere else on the island. No wonder this is heaven for boardsports fans. The beach offers a mile of white sand, turquoise water, and plenty of facilities for tourists. The village has multiple beach restaurants, hotels, and shops. You’ll also find a supermarket, a bakery, a hair salon, and all those other day-to-day amenities.
A Wide Range of Sports Activities
This long white sandy beach offers a wide range of watersports. There are lots of businesses on the beach proposing lessons for novices as well as equipment rentals. You can eat lunch under your umbrella or at a table on the restaurant terrace in the shade of the pergola. Sit back and enjoy…
On Orient Bay, the western end of the beach is reserved for nudists. If you enjoy all-over tanning and swimming in your birthday suit, then you’ll be in heaven.
