MARINA FORT LOUIS
Below Fort Louis, in the turquoise bay of Marigot, the main marina on the French side of St Martin is sheltered from the ocean waves, currents, and swell. It has 150 quayside berths for drafts of up to 3.6 meters/12 ft and can accommodate yachts of up to 80 meters/260 ft in length. The Marina Fort Louis proposes individual water meters, EU and US power supply (110/220/380V, 16A-100A), a pontoon for dinghies, a fuel station (with ultra-low-sulfur diesel), and WiFi internet access. The marina also offers access to sanitary facilities, a self-service laundromat, and forklift trucks. Assistance with clearance formalities can be provided, and the Yacht Club restaurant outside the marina is open for lunch and dinner.
In the Caribbean Sea, the hurricane season officially starts on June 15 and lasts until November 15. The most hazardous months are September and October. The Marina Fort Louis does not serve as a refuge. In the event of a hurricane warning, boats should be taken to the dedicated areas.
